Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team at Durabuilt Windows and Doors Inc. in Edmonton, AB.

Job Summary

The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for operating equipment and using hand tools to clean and prepare materials for the manufacture of glass windows. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of window products, glass manufacturing processes, and the operation of equipment and use of hand tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and set CNC machine parameters to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of CNC machine safety and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Identify and report defective materials and workmanship to the supervisor.
  • Be comfortable with computer applications and fill out quality-related documents accurately and timely.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, and report any hazards or unsafe work environments.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of CNC machine operating experience.
  • A mechanical aptitude and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to read and interpret specification sheets and understand metric and imperial measurements.
  • Basic understanding of computers and proficiency in communicating in English.
Working Conditions
  • Physically able to lift between 0 lbs to 50lbs.
  • Work primarily in a production facility with a dusty and noisy environment.
  • Move around the plant, maneuver product, and gather information.
