Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team at Durabuilt Windows and Doors Inc. in Edmonton, AB.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines and using hand tools to clean and prepare materials for glass window manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of window products, glass manufacturing processes, and equipment operation. They must be able to identify and report defective materials and workmanship, and ensure their safety and the safety of their coworkers by using personal protective equipment and adhering to safety policies and procedures.

The CNC Machine Operator will also be responsible for collaborating with the continuous improvement team to identify and implement improved ways of performing their duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting CNC machine parameters and operating equipment
  • Identifying and reporting defective materials and workmanship
  • Using personal protective equipment and adhering to safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with the continuous improvement team
  • Filling out quality-related documents accurately and in a timely manner
  • Keeping work areas clean and free from clutter

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of CNC machine operating experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications sheets and understand metric and imperial measurements
  • Basic understanding of computers and proficiency in communicating in English

Working Conditions:

  • Physically able to lift between 0 lbs to 50lbs
  • Work primarily in a production facility with a dusty and noisy environment
  • Move around the plant, maneuver products, and gather information
