A Day in the Life

We are seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing and reporting on various troubleshooting tasks, turbine inspections, and repairs. This role requires 100% travel from site-to-site, with regular rotations from job to job.

As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will interface with clients and manage small crews on a regular basis. You will be expected to lead and manage your time under minimal supervision, delivering high-quality results while maintaining Safety and Quality at the top of your list.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform and report on troubleshooting tasks, turbine inspections, and repairs.
  2. Interface with clients and manage small crews on a regular basis.
  3. Lead and manage your time under minimal supervision.
  4. Deliver high-quality results while maintaining Safety and Quality.
  5. Assist other jobs within the Advanced Maintenance, Heavy lifts, Major Campaigns, and Blades teams, as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. High School Graduate/GED/Equivalent Work.
  2. 1-2 Years of Related Work Experience.
  3. Gearbox / Generator Repairs and Inspection Knowledge.
  4. Familiarity with Gamesa and/or Siemens Mechanical/Electrical turbine operation.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Advanced knowledge of maintenance and electrical testing equipment for turbines.
  7. Ability to work in confined/enclosed spaces and comfortable with working at heights.
