Job Title: Baker

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Stofa Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough and batters for a range of sweet and savory baked goods
  • Bake and decorate cakes, pastries, and other sweet treats
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Ensure the quality of products meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Work Environment:

Our restaurant is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and quality food products. As a Baker, you will be working in a kitchen environment with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff.

The primary language of work is English.

Availability:

We are seeking a candidate who is available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
