Our team in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our brand-new downtown office. As a key member of our security organization, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our security competency, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and providing expertise on cloud infrastructure, digital forensics, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in cloud security, web application security, and incident response
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and risk mitigation efforts across cyber, infrastructure, and application teams
  • Analyze logs and other data to perform forensic investigations and validate containment and remediation measures
  • Provide security support for our SaaS product operating on distributed cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS)
  • Prevent problems before they occur through threat modeling and risk assessments
  • Partner with DevOps, Engineering, and Security teams to mitigate findings and create security solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum five years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, InfoSec, Security Engineering, or Network Engineering, with experience in at least two of the following areas: cloud security, web application security, incident response, threat hunting, and cybersecurity operations
  • Hands-on technical skills in Linux, scripting languages like Python or Bash, and at least one coding language such as PHP and JavaScript
  • Industry certification like GSEC, CISA/CISM/CISSP/CSCS/CEH, or equivalent certifications or willingness to obtain within eight months

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience
