Cybersecurity Expert for Microsoft Azure

The MORSE team at Microsoft is looking for a skilled Security Engineer to secure its products and devices. The Cloud team responsible for Azure's next-gen compute platforms and virtualization technologies needs your expertise.
This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to ensure the operating systems built at Microsoft meet the highest security standards. Key responsibilities include participating in security reviews, identifying vulnerabilities, and devising new protections.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough security reviews to identify and mitigate risks in Microsoft products.
- Serve as the primary security contact for teams developing innovative products and technologies in Azure.
- Analyze OS features and virtualization technologies for potential vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement new security measures to protect against emerging threats.
- Engage with external security experts and researchers to stay informed about the latest security trends.
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate security best practices and demonstrate the business value of investments.
We require 3+ years of experience in identifying security vulnerabilities, software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and anomaly detection. Additionally, you must have experience identifying vulnerabilities in operating systems and native applications.
- Strong understanding of Linux OS security fundamentals and hands-on experience with C/C++.
- Ability to pass Microsoft's security screening requirements.
Preferred qualifications include 4+ years of experience in the same fields or a Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A public track record of relevant security research and experience exploiting bugs are also highly valued.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $140,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
