Glazing Coordinator Job Description

Renin is seeking a highly motivated and organized Glazing Coordinator to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Glass and Door manufacturing and installation team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret tender packages, blueprints, and technical documents to prepare accurate material takeoffs and quotations.
  • Attend site meetings to ensure accurate execution and manage installation administration activities, including timekeeping, material, and equipment control.
  • Create, complete, and modify shop drawings to be approved by clients.
  • Develop strong relationships with builders and subcontractors to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Assist with takeoff and estimation on residential projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with the project team to coordinate project schedules, materials, and equipment to ensure proper execution.
  • Review shop drawings provided by clients related to glazing and cladding.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as a glazing estimator.
  • Basic knowledge of C.R. Laurence, INKAN, and similar industry-related glazing products.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is an asset.
  • Any related sales or field experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Architectural diploma, estimating certificate, or education in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with excellent time management to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Highly motivated and strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in using computer programs specific to this role (Word, Excel, Outlook, Planswift).
