About the Role:

The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day janitorial operations for our client, ensuring a safe and professional work environment for a team of 20-40 individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee the direction of site operations, ensuring client specifications and requirements are met.
  • Train front-line cleaning staff, supervisors, and administration.
  • Motivate, coach, mentor, and provide guidance to a staff of up to 40 team members, ensuring employee development.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external sources.
  • Identify, support, and develop growth plans for project works or other site locations.
  • Provide corrective and/or disciplinary action in accordance with BEST policy guidelines.
  • Identify potential issues, seek strategic alternative solutions while mitigating risk.
  • Implement and communicate company initiatives in a timely and effective manner.
  • Efficiently manage inventory levels of regularly ordered items.
  • Manage changing priorities with a thorough understanding of business needs.
  • Work at the front-line level to meet contractual obligations as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries outside business hours, such as evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • Work-related experience equivalent to a business-related post-secondary diploma.
  • Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
  • Ability to pass a Canadian Criminal Background Check.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
  • Understanding of Business Accounting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
