Job Title: Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our team at Dhillon & Dhillon Transport Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer unit to transport goods across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer unit to transport goods across various locations
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
  • Load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as required
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and perform preventive maintenance
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, and ensure the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel and varying weather conditions. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
