About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Chances. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to a high standard, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to order, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
- Manage time efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer needs and concerns.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a cook position or equivalent culinary experience.
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.
- Foodsafe Certificate.
- Experience with various knife-cutting techniques and knowledge of food safety preparation.
- Ability to lift items weighted similar to a crate of potatoes and stand for long periods of time.
