TAAG Accounting is seeking a seasoned Manager to spearhead all financial and accounting aspects of the firm. As a dynamic leader, you will oversee the finance and accounting processes, mentoring a small team in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for career growth in public accounting, with possibilities to advance into partnership at the firm. Reporting directly to the Partners and Senior Management team, you will collaborate closely with clients on accounting and taxation tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading monthly and quarterly financial close processes
  • Managing and preparing timely and accurate journal entries, working paper files, corporate tax provisions, HST returns, payroll remittances, bank reconciliations, personal and corporate income tax returns, financial reports, and forecasts
  • Developing relationships with new and existing clients, promoting firm services, and engaging in business development
  • Supporting and training a team of staff accountants, leading engagements, and implementing policies, procedures, and quality standards

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A minimum of five years' relevant work experience
  • A minimum of two years' management experience
  • An accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA, CPA)
  • Experience working with Small/Medium Businesses
  • Knowledge or exposure to ASPE/IFRS as an asset
  • Proficiency in Excel, Sage Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, Tax prep, and CaseWare
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
