About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Nutrition and Hospitality Professional to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our Maplestone Enhanced Care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement menus that meet therapeutic nutrition guidelines
- Assess and review resident nutritional status on a regular basis
- Address individual dietary concerns and establish personalized nutrition plans
- Oversee and plan special nutrition needs for residents with dietary restrictions or allergies
- Present educational sessions on nutrition and related topics to staff and residents
- Communicate nutrition care plans to residents, families, and staff as needed
- Collect and enter data into our database
- Administer the operating budget for dietary services
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for the healthcare sector. You will bring:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nutrition
- Membership with a professional association
- Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills
- Experience in a long-term care setting (an asset)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification and a valid Food Handlers' Certificate
- A clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
