About the Role:

The Director, Physical Infrastructure and Sustainability is a key member of the Facilities leadership team, responsible for planning, design, engineering, renewal, and sustainability. This role focuses on long-term infrastructure development, incorporating accessibility, indigenous, and equity principles to support teaching, learning, and research at Memorial University.

This strategic position leads and supports a multi-disciplined team of professionals, accountable for the capital project life cycle and space management program. The Director champions sustainability, climate action, and strategic planning, guiding programs and policies for sustainability, space planning, and infrastructure requirements.

About You:

You are a seasoned leader with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, skilled in collaboration and creativity. With a proven track record of success in leading major capital projects, you have expertise in engineering or architecture, or comparable experience. You possess significant project management skills, knowledge of construction and the industry, and experience managing a team of professionals. Eligibility for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador is required.
