Physiotherapy Assistant

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Long Term Care team in Powell River, BC. As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physiotherapist to provide physical therapy interventions and support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function under the operational supervision of the Manager or Team Leader and the practice supervision of the PT Practice Coordinator.
- Provide assigned physical therapy therapeutic interventions.
- Assist in modification of PT care plans to enable clients to maximize their potential for independence.
- Provide functional direction to clients and families, report relevant observations of clients' conditions and progress, and manage equipment safety and inventory.

Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized Diploma level Rehabilitation Assistant Program with Physical therapy components.
- One year's recent, related experience working with the target population or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
