Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planner to join our team at Martinrea International Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, from raw material procurement to delivery to our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels, ensuring that raw materials and components are available when needed.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Inventory Control: Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems, including the use of ERP software.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on inventory levels, supply chain performance, and other key metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as supply chain management or business administration.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with ERP software.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: 80% office environment, 20% plant floor (PPE required).
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing, with the ability to lift up to 35lbs.
