Magnum Cementing Services is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our heavy equipment fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including trucks, pumping equipment, and off-road equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Safety: Ensure all mechanical work is completed in a safe and compliant manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including work orders and equipment documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Station Managers, Supervisors, Dispatch, and Apprentices to maintain operational and service standards.
- Training: Provide guidance and instruction to Apprentices on mechanical issues and maintenance procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement new designs and innovations.
- Field Repairs: Perform field repairs as required.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and development activities.
- Education: Completion of a related trade program (Alberta Heavy Equipment Technician, Saskatchewan Truck and Transport Mechanic, or State Automotive or Diesel Technology) with some related experience.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license (non-graduated) with a clean driving record.
- Physical Demands: Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
- Availability: Able to work overtime, accommodate a flexible schedule, and travel to meet the needs of the business.
- Eligibility: Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
- Hand and Power Tools: Use of hand and power tools.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
- Flexibility: Flexible and able to adapt to change.
- Safety Awareness: Understands the importance of safety.
- Team Player: Team player and customer service focused.
- Initiative: Demonstrated initiative and results orientated.
- Self-Starter: Self-starter, organized, able to prioritize and multitask.
- Autonomy: Able to work autonomously and be proactive in addressing issues.
- Class 3 or 1 License: Valid class 3 or 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) with a clean driving record.
- Oilfield Experience: Oilfield experience.
