Senior Electronics Systems Architect: Space Technology Innovation

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Systems Architect to join our team in Quebec. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and updating electronic systems for ABB's products within the Process Automation (PA) division, ensuring the highest level of quality for our space and defense field products.
Your primary focus will be on coordinating and leading the electronic development of projects with internal or external teams, including writing and following up on electronic requirements, ensuring proper follow-up of the development process, and guaranteeing electronic deliverables to clients.
You will also be responsible for developing electronic architectures and recommendations during the proposal phase, conducting or directing design reviews, and providing technical support to the electronic development team.
In addition, you will collaborate with the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) team in developing test and integration plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Significant experience in leading/coordinating a technical team.
- Strong ability to analyze electronic circuits, wiring diagrams, and understand FPGA development.
- Experience in the aerospace, avionics, or military field is a plus.
- Knowledge of the SCRUM development framework and JIRA is a plus.
- Familiarity with EEE-INST-002 and ECSS-Q-ST-60C standards for electronic component selection is a plus.
- General knowledge of electronic assembly manufacturing according to IPC-J-STD-001HS is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with good knowledge of French and English.
