Vice President, Commercial Lines Leader

At Equest, we're seeking a visionary leader to drive profitable commercial growth and represent our company to clients and partners. As the Vice President, Commercial Lines, you'll lead the execution of our Commercial business plan, leveraging your strong business acumen, leadership skills, and technical expertise to achieve our commercial goals in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of commercial lines leaders across multiple offices, ensuring outstanding performance and oversight.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and national markets and external carrier partners.
- Oversee business development, sales execution, client service, and employee engagement and retention.
- Guide and ensure adherence to growth processes such as Portfolio Review, Renewal Stewardship, and Jeopardy Process.
- Support and integrate new acquisitions, retaining critical staff and revenue.
- Act as the executive sponsor for the region's largest clients, ensuring top-tier support and performance.
- Lead strategic account reviews for high-premium accounts, expanding client engagement.
- Set and monitor team and individual goals, providing consistent coaching and feedback.
- Identify and develop internal talent for future leadership positions.
- Collaborate with other business unit leaders to deliver on corporate initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, amplifying successes and addressing deficiencies.
- Develop and execute the annual business plan for the Commercial segment.
- Stay informed on industry trends and participate in professional associations.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial lines.
- 5-7 years of leadership experience.
- A CIP designation and eligibility for insurance licensing (assets).
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- A proven track record of achieving organizational objectives in sales and service through effective leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, matched by a high level of personal and professional integrity.
- Experience collaborating with various business leaders and strong problem-solving skills.
- Adept at mentoring and developing future business leaders.
- Exceptional business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions (an asset).
- Possession or working towards a Level 3 General Insurance License (preferred).
- Industry designations such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, or FCIP (preferred).
