About the Role

CIMA Canada Inc is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our institutional building projects. As a technical expert in building mechanicals, you will be responsible for coordinating team members' work, representing the company with clients, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Lead large-scale institutional building projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  2. Technical Expertise: Act as a technical reference in building mechanicals, solving complex engineering problems, and sharing knowledge with junior employees.
  3. Client Management: Meet with clients to assess their needs, prepare proposals, and establish budgets and schedules.
  4. Team Coordination: Coordinate the work of team members, ensuring collaboration with other internal disciplines to deliver projects efficiently.
  5. Contract Monitoring: Carry out contract monitoring, including budget tracking, and draft contract amendments as needed.
  6. Human Resources Management: Conduct hiring, performance evaluations, and participate in salary review processes to ensure a healthy work environment.
  7. Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement methods, procedures, and tools to increase the quality of services, optimize work methods, and enhance productivity.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 20 years of professional experience.
  2. Portfolio of diversified institutional building projects, primarily schools and hospitals.
  3. Experience in consulting engineering, private, public, or semi-public building sectors.
  4. In-depth knowledge of financial concepts and excellent budget monitoring skills.
  5. Negotiation and communication skills.
  6. Proven project management abilities.
  7. Strong technical credibility and willingness to share technical expertise with clients and the team.
