Position

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator to join our team in this exciting journey. As a pioneer in the AWS cloud, we've been using its technology for over 7 years and continue to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations.

The Live Production Support and Operations role will work closely with our small, agile support and development team. This position involves engineering and maintenance tasks to contribute to our cloud applications, hosting, and network operations.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing second-level support for customer websites, applications, and email.
  • Occasional after-hours support (up to 1-2 incidents per week).
  • Maintaining Plesk and Virtuozzo VPS servers.
  • Maintaining and improving existing AWS infrastructure.
  • Monitoring system stability and performance, and troubleshooting site issues.
  • Administering Unix/Linux and Windows-based systems.
  • Administering database systems (MSSQL, MySql).
  • Using cloud computing services and approaches with AWS.
  • Researching, developing, and implementing the latest technologies with AWS.
  • Coding and scripting using a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools.
  • Working with infrastructure as code tools such as Opsworks.
  • Contributing to IT operations processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise Linux and Windows DevOps, configuration management, software development, and agile processes.
  • 5 years of experience working in a Linux environment.
  • 2 years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, or JavaScript.
  • 2 years of experience writing or editing technical documentation.
