We are seeking a highly skilled Dining Establishment Manager to join our team at Petro Canada (A&W).

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that all aspects of the business meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

This is a permanent position offering 35 to 44 hours of work per week. The salary for this role is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to manage workload and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source high-quality food and kitchen supplies to maintain a consistent level of service.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and motivate a team of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training to staff on their roles and responsibilities, as well as essential skills such as sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Plan and coordinate food orders to ensure sufficient stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and select qualified staff to join our team, focusing on customer service and teamwork.
  • Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Monitor and record key performance indicators to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Compile and submit regular reports on sales, stock, and other key metrics to stakeholders.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints, resolving issues and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A minimum of a secondary school diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: An Asset: Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the food service industry would be advantageous.
  • Client Focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with others, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Excellent Oral Communication: Strong verbal communication skills, enabling clear and concise communication with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, often under pressure. You will need to be physically capable of standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
