We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at the Carleton Memorial Daycare Center Inc. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and programs of our childcare center. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will also be responsible for leading activities, such as telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest. Additionally, you will encourage children to express their creativity through various media, such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various media, such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Food allergy and anaphylaxis training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Immunization records
  • Vulnerable sector check
