Job Summary

KM RENOVATIONS is seeking a skilled Hardwood Floor Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our flooring installation team, you will be responsible for installing hardwood floors, resilient floor coverings, and other types of flooring in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
  • Perform double-bond carpet installations
  • Install outdoor carpets
  • Install resilient stair components (special effects for the visually impaired)
  • Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms
  • Install vinyl decking materials
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Hand-eye coordination
Working Conditions
  • Work site environment: dusty, odors
  • Work setting: on-site customer service, commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, urban area, various locations, work in employer's/client's home
