Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Open Learning Faculty Member to join our team at Thompson Rivers University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting students in our online courses, with a focus on geology and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality online course materials and assessments
  • Provide regular feedback and support to students through various communication channels
  • Mark assignments and exams, and provide prompt feedback to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective online learning strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with current educational technologies and tools, and apply them in innovative ways to enhance student learning
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a PhD in Geology or a related field, significant recent academic experience in the subject area, and a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals. The successful candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience working with current educational technologies, tools, and Learning Management Systems.
