Open Learning Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Open Learning Faculty Member to join our team at Thompson Rivers University. As a key member of our Open Learning division, you will play a vital role in supporting students in their academic studies and providing high-quality online learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver online courses that meet the needs of students and align with the university's academic goals.
- Provide regular and timely feedback to students on their progress and performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective online learning strategies and resources.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in online teaching and learning, and apply this knowledge to improve student outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the Open Learning division's strategic plan and initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Significant experience in online teaching and learning, preferably in a post-secondary setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems and other educational technologies.
