Job Title: Tower Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Tower Operator to join our team at AWIN Group of Dealerships. As a key member of our after-sales department, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the progress of maintenance work in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain an efficient repair system to ensure quality repairs at a reasonable cost.
  • Organize the shop work schedule to maximize productivity in accordance with dealership policy.
  • Establish and verify priorities for all returns to the shop to ensure timely and appropriate attention.
  • Document each work order with the complaint, cause, and corrective action, as well as the time required for each operation.
  • Monitor work progress and notify the technical advisor and/or customer of any changes in estimated time or cost.
  • Maintain professional contacts with after-sales customers and adhere to deadlines.
  • Keep a detailed and up-to-date log of repairs.
  • Prepare estimates as necessary.
  • Verify work orders completed by technicians to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure technicians comply with warranty conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy shop environment.
  • Coordinate needs for parts with the parts department and contact customers for special parts appointments.
  • Report frequent shortages to the parts and after-sales department managers.
  • Stay up-to-date on federal and provincial regulations and municipal bylaws.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and perform other tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence.
  • Automotive technician license issued by the provider of Ontario (an asset).
  • Previous automotive industry experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience using dealership-related software (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Accurate record-keeping and logical thinking.
