Job Title: Carpenter Helper

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our construction team. The successful candidate will assist our experienced carpenters in various aspects of construction, including site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter Helper will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assisting in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris and setting up equipment
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment
  • Operating power tools and equipment, such as drills, saws, and sanders
  • Assisting in the construction of buildings, including framing, roofing, and finishing work
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment
Responsibilities:

The Carpenter Helper will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the completion of construction projects on time and within budget
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures
  • Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors or team leaders
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the Carpenter Helper must have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a construction or related field
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment
  • Basic knowledge of power tools and equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
