Bureau Veritas Canada is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Wet Assay Laboratory Technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of samples using established analytical techniques.
- Provide technical support to senior technicians and ensure accurate results.
- Meet quality and turnaround time (TAT) specifications required by clients.
- Prepare chemical reagents and calibration standards for laboratory use.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS), auto-titrator, pH and conductivity meter, UV-vis Spectrometer, and Pycnometer.
- Assist in setting up and conducting chemical experiments, tests, and analyses.
- Compile records for analytical studies and maintain high-quality results for clients.
- BSc. in Chemistry, Technical Diploma, or equivalent experience.
- High level of work production in a fast-paced lab environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible working hours, overtime, and shift work.
- May involve long periods of standing and some lifting and carrying (up to 10kg).
- Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate equipment.
