Job Description

The Assembly Technician will play a critical role in supporting the production process by ensuring that components are inspected and packaged efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports a safe work environment by following safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Supports a quality work environment by following quality policies and procedures.
  • Isolates suspect components and alerts technician, quality assurance, and/or supervision in the event of non-conformance.
  • Completes hourly inspections, product identification, and scrap paperwork.
  • Documents production and quality records on specified forms.
  • Relocates any defective components to specified scrap containers.
  • Marks and labels containers, container tags, or products using marking tools.
  • Obtains, moves, sorts, reworks, and packs.
  • May be required to transfer palleted material within the production area using a manual pallet jack.
  • Supports wall plate position as needed, including inspection and packaging of product.
  • Completes housekeeping tasks, including cleaning work areas using basic cleaning materials.
  • Attends department stand-up meetings.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instruction and apply to work standards.
  • Ability to communicate in verbal and written English.
  • Requires standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling.
  • Requires eye/hand/foot coordination.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
