Caledonia Clover Farm is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and service, with the ability to plan and execute menus, estimate food requirements, and supervise kitchen staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for determining food portion sizes and costs, planning menus, and requisitioning food and kitchen supplies. They will also be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Culinary Specialist will also provide support to newcomers and refugees, offering mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities. They will also provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and visible minorities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
