The Superintendent plays a key role in leading a work team and ensuring the smooth execution of construction work on site.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities related to construction work execution;
  • Interpret plans and specifications correctly to ensure compliance with the schedule;
  • Inform the project manager about subcontractor performance;
  • Ensure the quality of logged work performed;
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies at work;
  • Participate in site meetings;
  • Complete the log sheet of work and quantities.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in a construction trade;
  • A technical diploma in civil engineering is an asset;
  • Knowledge of construction laws;
  • Familiarity with equipment, execution standards, and work methods;
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance;
