We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor, Data Protection to join our Partner Solutions Inc. (PSI) team.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of our organization's data and that of our customers by implementing effective protection strategies and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive data loss protection program, including policy creation, procedure development, and technical control implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data assets requiring protection and determine suitable data protection measures.
- Evaluate and select technologies and tools to support the program, overseeing their implementation and configuration.
- Monitor and analyze incidents and Data Loss Protection (DLP) tool alerts to identify potential security threats or breaches, taking appropriate action to prevent data loss.
- Provide education and training to employees on data governance policies and procedures, best practices, and information security awareness.
- Work closely with compliance teams to ensure data governance policies and procedures align with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in security incident response activities, including investigations and remediation efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data protection and data governance, assessing their relevance to our organization.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security.
- Experience in selecting and deploying data loss prevention (DLP) technologies and tools.
- One of the following certifications would be a significant asset: CISSP, CIPP, CDPSE.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to learn.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study, and maintaining technical cybersecurity skills.
- Bilingualism (French/English).
- No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
