**Job Description**

We are looking for a qualified instructor to teach microeconomic theory at the University of Toronto. As a sessional lecturer, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, supervising teaching assistants, and grading tests and examinations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Preparation and delivery of lectures in microeconomic theory
  • Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to the course
  • Preparation, supervision, and grading of tests and examinations in accordance with University regulations
  • Providing scheduled office hours for academic counseling of students
  • Collaboration with another instructor to ensure continuity in course content and student experience

**Requirements**

  • PhD in Economics
  • Prior experience teaching this course or a similar course at the university level
  • Ability and experience teaching large classes effectively

**Desirable Qualifications**

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching over four or more years
