Architecture49 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect/Project Manager to lead our Transit Architecture team. As a key member of our Transportation Market Sector, you will be responsible for delivering complex projects from start to finish, managing teams, and ensuring compliance with CAD/BIM standards, transit standards, and guidelines.
Responsibilities:- Manage a team in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings for vertical structures and facilities.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate with other building disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Perform internal reviews and quality checks of models and drawings to ensure compliance with CAD/BIM standards, transit standards, and guidelines.
- Research materials, products, and technologies required for design and incorporate into details, specifications, and other documents.
- Hold an architectural studies degree or other applicable higher education qualifications.
- 6+ years of experience delivering BIM projects using authoring tools such as Revit, C3D, OpenBuildings Designer, and CDE platforms such as ProjectWise, BIM360, or ACC.
- Experience working with North American design requirements, regulations, and climate.
- Sound knowledge of Transit design principles and methods, including design, specifications, construction, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of Municipal and provincial planning and zoning requirements and processes.
- Familiarity with both Provincial and National related standards, codes, and their application to transit facilities.
- Understanding of Heritage Architecture aspects pertaining to transit projects.
