About the Role

Carewest Innovative Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Healthcare Aide. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our clients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-going client care, observing and monitoring client status and condition
  • Report changes in client status to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times
  • Perform other related duties as required
Program Overview

Carewest's Complex Care program provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for frail seniors who require the care of an interdisciplinary team. Our program offers a mix of secured and unsecured units, providing a range of care options for our clients.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required
