Oyster Harbour Senior Community is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supply and empty bed pans to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients who require assistance with eating
  • Weigh, lift, turn and position patients to prevent injury and promote comfort
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas as required
  • Bathe, dress and groom patients to promote independence and dignity
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher to various locations within the facility
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond promptly

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be required to maintain accurate records, adhere to infection control protocols, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
