Manufacturing System Administrator

The Manufacturing System Administrator is a key role that oversees the smooth and efficient operation of the Manufacturing System, ensuring seamless integration with other software tools. This position requires a Subject Matter Expert with expertise in configuration, user, and reporting activities associated with the system and its components.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Operations management and staff to collect requirements, design, and deliver reports using Excel and DB.
- Manage application configuration of the Manufacturing System, including troubleshooting of application, configuration, and user issues.
- Provide expert support and maintain the 'Tactic' scheduling system and associated integration with the Manufacturing System.
- Manage and oversee daily monitoring and fixes for Data Base and application issues.
- Support M-Print On-Demand tool and BiBatch converter virtual printer, requiring HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Train G+D users, creating associated documents as needed, and maintain DCT Helper Application (sensors) with working knowledge of C#.NET.
- Oversee vendor relationships to ensure efficient operation of the Manufacturing System and tools.
- Provide expertise and input for projects and initiatives involving the Manufacturing System and tools.
- Maintain physical plant and system hardware in collaboration with IT.
- Configure and manage print queues and Manufacturing System ticket printers.
- Coordinate with IT to set up and configure data collection terminals.
- Manage application patches and license files in collaboration with IT.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with DB and reporting, 2-3 years of experience creating.NET applications, and 2-3 years of experience creating Windows Services in.NET.
Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and effective communication with various departments and functions.
Working knowledge of SAP, SQL, and Excel Macros (VBA) is considered an asset.
Working Conditions- Typical office/workstation environment with frequent interaction with operations management and staff.
- Some physical work required for hardware implementation and setup.
- Potential for support outside of normal working hours, including weekends or holidays.
- Infrequent travel to support activities in the Dorval facility.
