Halton Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Assistant to join our team. As an Environmental Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
The ideal candidate will have high school diploma and recent practical experience in a healthcare setting. You must be able to work well in a team setting, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to prioritize workload and function independently.
In addition to your exceptional interpersonal skills, you should be physically capable of meeting the demands of the job, including standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling carts, and lifting up to 30 lbs. A satisfactory employment and attendance record is also required.
Responsibilities- Clean and disinfect public and clinical areas using approved methods.
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient and public washrooms.
- Wash floors, ceilings, and walls to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Clean windows from the inside.
- Dispose of waste and linen properly.
- High School Diploma
- Recent practical experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work well in a team setting
- Prioritize workload and function independently
- Meet physical demands of the job
We offer a competitive hourly salary ranging from $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
