The Anglophone North School District is seeking a skilled School Social Worker I to join our Education Support Services team.

Department: Education Support Services

Employment Type: Permanent Position

Union: NBUPPE

Hours: 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Reports to: Director, Education Support Services

Location: Jacquet River, Dalhousie & Campbellton Area Schools

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide social work services to students and families in our district. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social work services to students and families
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Conduct assessments and develop strategies to support student success
  • Provide counseling and support to students and families
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Experience working with children and families in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of child and youth mental health principles and practices
