Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Optical Technician with a passion for precision and attention to detail to join our team as a Precision Lens Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments, setting up and dismantling equipment, and organizing and maintaining inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements and calibrations
  • Set up and dismantle equipment according to manufacturer instructions and company protocols
  • Organize and maintain inventory of lenses, frames, and other optical materials
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to lenses and frames as needed
  • Cut and edge lenses according to prescription specifications
  • Fashion and assemble lenses into frames, ensuring precise alignment and fit
  • Arrange for grinding or polishing of lenses as required

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Optical Technician
  • Demonstrated expertise in operating ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
