Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join our team at Applied Materials. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions using cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Azure PaaS services, and serverless computing.
  • Partner with senior executives, line-of-business leaders, and enterprise architects to develop and implement cloud strategies.
  • Apply governance methodologies to ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical expertise to the team on cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Formulate strategies to drive digital transformation and business growth through cloud adoption.
  • Develop and maintain technical and business roadmaps to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Foster technical acumen and stay up-to-date with market trends, opportunities, and insights.

Requirements:

  • 6-10+ years of experience in technology solutions development, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud application design, software architecture, and practices, including cloud-native application architecture, DevOps, and CI/CD technologies.
  • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, emerging computing trends, and their impact on partner practice building opportunities.
  • Understanding of data and AI technologies in the context of application development, including SQL and NoSQL databases, big data, cognitive services, and machine learning.
  • Understanding of low-code platforms and technologies, such as Power Platform.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Certification in cloud, mobile, web application development, cloud-native application architecture, modern software development techniques, and container orchestration systems preferred.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position with no relocation eligibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
