Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Medicine team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our patients' treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that patients' needs are met and that their care is coordinated.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Experience working in a pediatric setting, preferably in a clinical care environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children and families in a clinical care environment.
  • Knowledge of pediatric nursing practices and procedures.
  • Ability to speak an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
