Job Summary

Apollo Health and Beauty Care is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair high-speed filling machines, utilizing your knowledge of electrical systems to ensure efficient repair and replacement results.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and regular work orders, accurately documenting inventory and labor on our computerized maintenance system.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance checklists on machinery, including pumps, chains, belts, pulleys, sprockets, control panels, valves, air solenoids, actuators, oil levels, and compounding equipment.
  • Maintain conveyors, shrink wrap, case erectors, and associated production line equipment.
  • Organize and maintain the maintenance shop and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure that coders are in good working order and assist production lines with changeovers and set-ups.
  • Identify and report hazards, adhering to Health and Safety, WHMIS, MSDS, and GMP policy requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic License required.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Knowledge of electronic controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics, with hands-on experience with high-speed filling machines.
  • Knowledge of packaging line setup, adjustment, and maintenance.
  • Licensed as an industrial millwright, machinist, or welding fabrication.
