Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

The Toronto Catholic District School Board is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our Facilities Maintenance East/West Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty equipment and components.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and timesheets.
  • Clean up and dispose of debris upon completion of tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in inspecting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in English language to comprehend maintenance manuals.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's G license and access to a reliable automobile.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Technician or certification.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) Facilities and Industrial Maintenance certification.
