Medical Supply Logistics Specialist

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Unit Aide. You will be responsible for managing medical supplies, equipment, and logistics within the Birthing Unit. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will ensure that patients receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that supply carts are stocked with essential medical supplies
- Collaborate with the team to conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks
- Transport clean stretchers, carts, medical/surgical equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently
- Distribute and collect supplies, equipment, and instruments effectively
- Maintain sufficient stock levels of medical supplies for patient care
- Liaise with SPD, Stores, JCI, and BU team members to facilitate efficient operations
- Ensure special order supplies are readily available
- Reset BU rooms after each discharge and maintain a clean and organized environment
- Work collaboratively with all department team members to achieve common goals
Requirements:
- Completion of high school diploma required
- CSAO or Sterile Supply Processing certificate preferred
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including email and MS Office
- Two years of recent related hospital medical/surgical supply experience preferred
- Hospital experience and knowledge of medical terminology are assets
- Demonstrated ability to speak, read, and interpret English (written and verbal)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to physically push stretchers, lift, and store linen and surgical supplies
- Excellent attendance record and discipline-free history
