About the Role:

The Park Attendant is a key member of the RLC Park Services team, responsible for ensuring the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of our parks in a region or bundle area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to ensuring the Permit area is safe, clean, and functional.
  • Maintain the general maintenance throughout the different areas of the Permit Area.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including:
    • Inspecting and cleaning facilities, including toilets, showers, and changehouses.
    • Ensuring that all facilities are in good repair and functioning properly.
    • Removing litter, debris, and foreign materials from the area.
    • Performing minor repairs and reporting any major issues to the Park Manager.
  • Ensure the safety of Campground/Day use areas by removing or reporting any overhanging limbs, dangerous limbs, or potential hazards.
  • Perform routine checks on water taps, fountains, washhouse taps, showers, and toilets to ensure they are in good repair and functioning properly.
  • Maintain Parking Lots and Roadways, ensuring they are clean and free from litter, rocks, weeds, debris, and foreign materials.
  • Maintain Information Shelters and Signs, ensuring they are clean and free from garbage, debris, litter, cobwebs, leaves, weeds, and foreign materials.
  • Maintain Trails, Walkways, Paths, Steps, Stairs, and Adjacent areas, ensuring they are clean and free from litter, rocks, limbs, windfall trees, encroaching vegetation, and other foreign materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on Picnic Shelters, including cleaning and inspecting facilities, and ensuring they are safe and fully functional.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on Boat Launch Areas, including inspecting and cleaning facilities, and ensuring they are safe and fully functional.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on Playgrounds, including inspecting and cleaning equipment, and ensuring it is safe and fully functional.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform routine maintenance tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
