About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic Helper to join our team at Fernando's Truck and Automotive Shop Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed in a fast-paced automotive environment.
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the automotive industry is an asset.
  • Ability to provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Capacity to provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Ability to provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Work Environment

We offer a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek, working in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
