Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing programs for students in the junior division, with a focus on implementing the Ontario Curriculum in Special Education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement curriculum-based programs for students in the junior division
  • Teach and assess students in the junior division, with a focus on Special Education
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of students in the junior division
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in Special Education and the Ontario Curriculum

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education or a related field
  • Specialist qualification in Special Education
  • Recent experience in teaching full-time in a school or working in administration for a School Board
  • Two years of experience implementing the Ontario Curriculum in Special Education
  • Confirmation of qualification update in Special Education
  • Ability to apply the Ethical Standards and the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession

Working Conditions

  • Work will be conducted on a regular part-time basis
  • Course will be taught according to a schedule determined by the professor
  • Course will be between 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
