Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified Health and Physical Education Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in the primary and junior divisions, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Physical Education and Health programs in an Ontario classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Physical Education and Health programs in an Ontario classroom
  • Facilitate ongoing professional development focused on implementing Ontario Curriculum at a high level
  • Lead professional learning for teachers and administrators on Health and Physical Education teaching and learning at the elementary level
  • Develop and implement Physical Education and Health programs in an Ontario classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Physical Education and Health programs

Requirements

  • Master's degree in education
  • Specialist in Physical Education and Health at the Primary Junior Division
  • Experience facilitating Intermediate/Superior Physical Education and Health AQ
  • Membership or leadership position in education professional organization
  • Capability of applying the Ethical Standards and the Standards of Practice of the Teaching Profession in Ontario
