About the Role

Arcadis, a leading global consultancy, is seeking an experienced legal counsel to join its in-house legal team. As a Global Legal Counsel, you will provide comprehensive legal services to support the company's growing business area, Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Legal Support: Offer expert legal advice to the Intelligence Legal Director, management team, and senior leaders worldwide on various matters, including contract negotiation, risk management, and compliance.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Develop and implement protocols to identify and manage routine project risks within the Intelligence business area and advise management on the same.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with the Legal, Compliance, and Privacy departments to develop and implement policies and processes to improve efficiency and risk management.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement role-related training programs for the Intelligence global business area.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with stakeholders across the Intelligence business to support projects and initiatives driven by Intelligence.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in the professional services industry.
  • Education: Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario or an equivalent body.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to anticipate and deliver legal support to satisfy the needs of a dynamic, diverse, and global business team.
  • Preferred Qualifications: International experience, experience collaborating with stakeholders across a complex matrix-structured organization, and experience conducting legal research on public contracting laws.
